Plano Heart Center is a comprehensive cardiac care practice located in Plano, Texas. Established in 2003 by Poonam G. Agarwal, MD, FACC, it provides diagnostic services for assessment and treatment of various cardiovascular diseases such as hypertension, hypercholesterolemia, coronary artery disease, cardiac dysarrhythmias, valvular dysfunction, heart failure, etc. Dr. Agarwal is on staff at the Baylor Scott & White Plano and The Heart Hospital Baylor Plano where she performs invasive procedures such as cardiac catheterization.

In patients with abnormal stress test or those with angina despite a normal stress test, Dr. Agarwal performs diagnostic cardiac catheterization at the Heart Hospital Baylor Plano to determine the extent of coronary artery disease for possible coronary intervention or bypass surgery.

We place a great amount of emphasis on prevention of heart disease through patient education and life-style modification including healthy eating, exercising, and smoking cessation.
